Fifth Wednesday Journal to Present a Reading in New York CityLISLE, Ill., September 1, 2008 — Fifth Wednesday Journal announced today that it will present a literary program November 16, 2008, from 4 to 6 p.m. at New York City’s esteemed Bowery Poetry Club. Patricia Spears Jones and Rob Cook will deliver their poetry, and Said Shirazi and Daniel Libman will read selections from their fiction. Poet Nina Corwin will emcee the event. The $7 cover charge includes admission and a copy of the fall issue of Fifth Wednesday Journal. Writers and photographers who have contributed to any issue of FWJ will be admitted free of charge. The event is open to literary enthusiasts of all ages. “The Bowery Poetry Club is an exciting new venue for us,” said Editor and Publisher Vern Miller. “Fifth Wednesday Journal has published several artists from New York and beyond. They’ve brought some of their best work to us, so we are happy to bring the journal to them for this special event.” Bowery Poetry Club was founded in 2002 by poet Bob Holman as a performance space for established and emerging artists.
