Fifth Wednesday Journal and The Book Cellar are pleased to present three of the finest Illinois writers reading from their work. This program is free and open to the public. Wine, coffee, soft drinks are on us. Please join our moderator, Nina Corwin, and our writers John Bradley, Linda Downing Miller, and Ladan Osman for a fun evening at The Book Cellar.

About our moderator and writers

NINA_CORWINNINA CORWIN is the author of two books of poetry, The Uncertainty of Maps and Conversations With Friendly Demons and Tainted Saints. She coedited Inhabiting the Body, an anthology of women’s poetry. She lives in Chicago, where she is a psychotherapist known for her work on behalf of victims of violence.



John Bradley John Bradley is the author of six books of poetry and prose.  His most recent is And Thereby Everything (Longhouse Books), about Billy the Kid conjuring Henry Ford.  The recipient of two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships and a Pushcart Prize, he teaches at Northern Illinois University.



Linda MillerLinda Downing Miller earned an MFA from Queens University of Charlotte in January 2014. Her short stories have recently appeared in Crab Orchard Review and Fiction International. She teaches memoir and creative writing at the Center for Life and Learning, in Chicago, and lives in Oak Park, Illinois.



Ladan OsmanLadan Osman’s chapbook appears in Seven New Generation African Poets (Slapering Hol Press, 2014). The Kitchen-Dweller’s Testimony (University of Nebraska Press, 2015) is the winner of the Sillerman First Book Prize. A Pushcart nominee, her work has appeared in numerous publications.
